ITV have ordered a one-off special featuring dance troupe and Britain's Got Talent champions Diversity, with the group's front-man Ashley Banjo pegged to host
The one-hour extravaganza, titled Diversity Steal The Show, will include celebrity guest appearances, pranks, dance routines, and a competition offering one amateur performer the chance to share the stage with Banjo and co.
Since winning Britain's Got Talent in 2009, Diversity have regularly toured the country, selling out the O2 arena, and set up the Diversity Dance Academy at Butlins holiday resorts across the country. Other television programmes they have fronted include Jordan and Perri's Ultimate Block Party on Nickelodeon, Sky1's Got To Dance and Ashley Banjo's Secret Street Crew, and Can't Touch This on BBC1.
Banjo, who has choreographed Steal The Show, said: “We can’t wait to start working with ITV on this show. Not only do we get to create breathtaking performances and collaborations, but we also get to pull pranks, have fun and show that you don’t have to be a professional dancer to Steal The Show."
He has also been attached to another ITV production Dance, Dance, Dance as a judge.The new reality series will star celebrity contestants partnered with a friend or relative in competition for the winner's title.
Diversity Steal The Show will transmit towards the end of the year.
