Amazon Video has announced the launch date for the car show The Grand Tour
In a new trailer, Amazon announced that the much-anticipated series will be hitting screens around the world on 18 November 2016.
Unusually for Amazon series, the show will be released in weekly episodes for 12 weeks, rather than all at once.
Producer Andy Wilman said at last month’s Edinburgh International Television Festival that he felt the series would suit a weekly release as it was not binge-watch television.
In the interview, he revealed that around 90% of the location filming had been completed and that a few studio segments still remained.
The debut show will be filmed in the Grand Tour tent in California later this month.
Wilman showed an extended montage of clips from the show including a Jeremy Clarkson driving through a location from HBO series Game of Thrones and Richard Hammond waking up to find his vehicle suspended beneath a helicopter.
Amazon Video’s Jay Marine said “The guys have been having a blast filming the show around the world and we can’t wait for fans to see it weekly from 18 November.”
