Lookout Pointthe production company behind War and Peace, revealed that they were in “active” discussions with him about working on another classic.

Davies added that the co-producer of Leo Tolstoy's novel, Harvey Weinstein, has agreed to work on the adaptation.

The finale of the BBC One drama was watched by 5.7 million viewers. The channel gave the episode a 20-minute extension. This was the first time it had granted this for a Sunday evening drama.
