The National Film and Television School have announced five new bursaries for their Script Development Diploma this year.
Successful bursary candidates who can demonstrate that they bring a unique and distinct perspective to the course will each receive £1500.
The course, which has a new intake for September this year, is the only vocational course in script development in the UK.
Since being launched in 2003 the course has trained around 150 people to go into film and TV. Script Development alumni have gone onto numerous drama projects including becoming creative producers and drama writers.
The programme runs from September - July.
The application deadline for this year's intake is 9 April.
