Sky gives a first look at The Last of Us series two, just time for The Last of Us day.
Fans celebrate 26 September as The Last of Us day, as the cordyceps virus infected their apocalyptic dystopian world on 26 September 2003 and kicked off the events of the series. To commemorate, Sky has released the trailer for The Last of Us series two, featuring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey reprising their roles as Joel and Ellie.
Alongside them are returning cast Gabriel Luna (FUBAR) as Tommy, and Rutina Wesley (Queen Sugar) as Maria, and new characters Manny (Danny Ramirez, Look Both Ways), Abby (Kaitlyn Dever, Booksmart), Dina (Isabela Merced, Dora and the Lost City of Gold), Jesse (Young Mazino, Beef), Mel (Ariela Barer, How to Blow Up a Pipeline), Nora (Tati Gabrielle, Uncharted), Owen (Spencer Lord, Fishing for Love), Isaac (Jeffrey Wright, American Fiction), and Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek) guest starring.
After Joel saved Ellie from having her cordyceps immunity harvested at the firefly hospital in the finale of series one, they have been living in peace for five years. That is, until their past comes to find them again. For those who have played The Last of Us Part II, they know devastating plot twists are in store.
The Last of Us series two will release on Sky and streaming service NOW in 2025.
