New Channel 4 series The Change follows Linda, played by Bridget Christie (Cardinal Burns), who becomes reinvigorated after her doctor tells her she’s going through menopause.
Linda goes on a journey of discovery and empowerment after hearing the news. Dusting off her old Triumph motorbike she last used 30 years ago, she travels solo to the Forest of Dean to do something for herself and reconnect with her identity.
She meets different characters along the way. These include the ‘Eel Sisters’, an exasperated local radio presenter, and a hermit living in the woods with only a wild boar for company. Cue the high jinks!
The series stars comedian Bridget Christie (Cardinal Burns), who has also written and produced the comedy drama. The Change will be her first starring role after a successful career in comedy.
The Change is also produced by Lisa Mitchell (Hullraisers), Nerys Evans (Guilt) and Morwenna Gordon (Code 404). The series is directed by Al Campbell, whose other works include Two Weeks to Live and Dead Pixels.
The release date for The Change is expected to be announced later this year.
