Co-created by Billie Piper and Lucy Prebble (Succession), I Hate Suzie is returning to Sky for a second series, I Hate Suzie Too.
The three-part 'anti-Christmas Christmas Special', written by Prebble, will see child star turned actress Suzie Pickles (Piper) navigate a new agent, new PR and a new job – a Saturday night reality TV competition, dancing for likes on ‘Dance Crazee’. Having lost everyone close to her, Suzie returns to her first love – the public.
Embroiled in a bitter separation from her ex-husband Cob (Daniel Ings) and trying to keep life stable for her young son Frank (Matthew Jordan-Caws) with the help of her ex-agent and estranged best friend Naomi (Leila Farzad), Suzie must stay on ‘Dance Crazee’ long enough to finance her new life as a single mum.
As her personal life spirals out of control, Suzie fights to win the hearts of the British public and restore her reputation, but at what cost?
Dawn Shadforth (Adult Material) will direct the series made by Bad Wolf in association with Sky Studios. Julia Gardner and Andrea Dewsbery are executive producers for Bad Wolf and Alex Streeter is producer. Liz Lewin, commissioning editor for Sky Studios, serves as executive producer.
I Hate Suzie Too heads to Sky and NOW this winter.
