Tha abairt cumanta againn anns a’ Ghàidhlig: ’S fheàrr droch thòiseachadh na gun tòiseachadh idir.
Saoil a bheil an aon rud fìor nam faigh thu cothrom a bhith ag obair sna meadhanan Gàidhlig?!

There’s a famous saying in Gaelic: “A bad start is better than not starting at all”.
Is the same true if you were to get a job within the Gaelic media sector?!

Thigibh còmhla rinn airson seisean feumail tro mheadhan na Gàidhlig le eòlaichean a bheireas taic is comhairle prìseil dhuibh. Bidh còmhraidhean rin cluinntinn mu cò ris a tha e coltach a bhith ag obair ann am mion-chànan mar Ghàidhlig taobh a-staigh saoghal telebhisein, agus dè na dòighean as fheàrr gus cothroman fhaighinn aig diofar chompanaidhean sna tràth làithean.

Cuideachd, ann an gnìomhachas a tha uaireannan a’ dèiligeadh ri cùmhnantan goirid, tha e cudromach gun toir thu buaidh le do chuid obrach ann an ùine nach eil fada. Innsidh ar pannal dhuibh na rudan a dh’fheumas tu a bhith a’ dèanamh gus cothroman obrach a ghlèidheadh ann an gnìomhachas farpaiseach.

G’ e bith dè an aois a tha thu no dè an t-eòlas a th’ agad air saoghal telebhisean, bidh fàilte romhaibh ma tha ùidh agaibh sa ghnìomhachas.

Thèid an seisean a chumail le Dòmhnall Iain MacIlleDhuinn.

In this useful session conducted through the medium of Scottish Gaelic, come join a panel of experts who will provide you with priceless support and endless words of wisdom. There will be conversations regarding what it’s like to work in a minority language like Gaelic within the television industry, and what are some of the best ways of gaining opportunities at different companies in
those early days.

Also, in an industry which can quite often deal in temporary contracts, it’s important to make sure you make an impression in quite a short space of time. Our panel will help explain some of the things you have to do to ensure more employment opportunities come your way in what can be a
competitive industry. Whatever age you are or experience you may or may not have within the world of television, a warm welcome awaits any interested parties to this session.

The event will be hosted by Donald Iain Brown.
