Centre Event

The inaugural RTS Scotland Young Journalist of the Year award will be presented in memory of George Sinclair at our annual awards in May. As we recognise George Sinclair's contribution to the development of television journalism and celebrate our emerging talent RTS Scotland welcomes your participation in an evening symposium looking to the future of television journalism.

Production processes are in constant technological flux.  Industry processes are forever under review. Viewer behaviour has changed dramatically as a result of on demand services and social media.  What lessons can we learn from the past as we look to the future?

The event will take place at City of Glasgow College's new studio facilities and will feature input from four key groups:

  1. Young Journalists working in TV news and current affairs

  2. Television journalists working in Scotland today

  3. The elder statesmen of Scottish television journalism

  4. The next generation of television journalists

An industry network opportunity

Free to members of the Royal Television Society and students

£10 for non-members
