Midland Centre Awards Winners 2007

At a glittering and impressive Awards Evening held in Birmingham's Burlington Hotel, all the winners were presented with their just desserts.

The evening fizzed and was memorable due to the hard work and enormous talents of the host, Brian Conley.

Media Stars Shine at RTS Midlands Awards 2009

The region’s top media talent were out in force at the annual Royal Television Society (RTS) Midlands Awards, held in partnership with Screen WM and Advantage West Midlands.

Celebrity hosts Myleene Klass and Krishnan Guru-Murthy were joined by over 300 VIP guests at Birmingham’s Town Hall. Recognising talent across the East and West Midlands, the event saw 19 awards given out, including five student awards and the special Baird Medal.

ITN captured the honours at the 2006 RTS London Regional Awards winning both the News Programme of the Year for their coverage of the London Bombings anniversary and the News Story of the Year for the Plane Terror Attack at Heathrow feature.

Individual awards went to BBC London’s Asad Ahmad who was a first time recipient of the Reporter of The Year Award and 'Suggs' lead vocalist from Madness, who won Presenter of the Year for Disappearing London a Wavelength Films production for ITV London and Sky Three.

Student Awards 2011

 

RTS London held the Student Awards at ITV studios on 25th January 2011. Over 80 students and their lecturers attended to not only see the entries but also to hear comments from practicing producers / directors - Sam Hanna, Darcia Martin. and Lynne Pritchard talking about the first steps both creative and business for them – and for those joining the wide work of Television and film.

There was a strong set of entries in three categories this year – but there were no programmes nominated in the Entertainment category.

RTS East Anglia Awards 1994

Awards 1994 was celebrated at a gala dinner at the Dunston Hall Hotel, Norwich on Saturday 14th October 1994. Awards 1994 is the first Awards event organised by the RTS East Anglia Centre to recognise talent and excellence in the region's TV industry. Awards 1994 was hosted by Barry Norman and Richard Swallow of Anglia Television who is also Vice Chairman of the RTS East Anglia Centre.

RTS East Anglia Awards 1995

Awards 1995 was celebrated at a gala dinner at the Dunston Hall Hotel, Norwich on Saturday 11th November 1995. Awards 1995 is the second Awards event organised by the RTS East Anglia Centre to recognise talent and excellence in the region's TV industry, the first event being held in 1994. Awards 1995 was hosted by Penny Smith of GMTV and Richard Swallow of Anglia Television who is also Chairman of the RTS East Anglia Centre.

Awards 1997 was celebrated at a gala dinner at the Dunston Hall Hotel, Norwich on Saturday 15th November 1997. Awards 1997 is the third Awards event organised by the RTS East Anglia Centre to recognise talent and excellence in the region's TV industry, the previous events being held in 1994 and 1995. Awards 1997 was hosted by Valerie Sanderson of BBC News 24 and Richard Swallow of Anglia Television who is also Chairman of the RTS East Anglia Centre.

Awards '98 was celebrated at a gala evening at the Dunston Hall Hotel, Norwich on Saturday 21st November 1998 hosted by Angela Rippon and Trisha Goddard. Awards '98 is the fourth Awards event organised by the RTS East Anglia Centre, the previous events being held in 1994, 1995 and 1997.

RTS East Anglia Awards 1999

Awards '99 was celebrated at a gala evening at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts at the University of East Anglia, Norwich on Saturday 13th November 1999 hosted by Nicholas Parsons and Amanda Redington. Awards '99 is the fifth Awards event organised by the RTS East Anglia Centre, the previous events being held in 1994, 1995, 1997 and 1998. This year eleven awards were made to recognise excellence in a wide range of programme-making expertise from reporting to production craft design.
