This week's TV sees Kate Winslet star alongside her daughter Mia Threapleton in I Am Ruth, and Amol Rajan explores social mobility in the new BBC documentary, How To Crack the Class Ceiling. 

FBoy Island

The dating reality show F Boy Island returns, as three women, Mia, Louise and Tamaris, attempt to uncover which of the 26 potential suitors are 'nice guys' looking for love, and which of them are 'FBoys' who are merely there to win a cash prize.

In the opening episode, after judging the flex-ability of their 26 eligible bachelors, Mia, Louise and Tamaris hand out VIP badges for the highly anticipated first party, Brochella. 

How To Crack the Class Ceiling

BBC journalist Amol Rajan explores how working class students can break through the barriers and land one of Britain's elite jobs. Speaking to people who have found their own ways to hack the class system, from school etiquette classes to university soft skills workshops, Amol follows the progress of young people trying to get ahead in professions including law and the civil service. 

Too Hot To Handle

Wednesday

Netflix

The fourth series of Too Hot To Handle launches on Netflix, and a new bunch of randy singletons are heading to a Caribbean villa, thinking they're taking part in a completely different dating show promising heaps of single fun. When they arrive, the virtual assitant Lana reveals the 10 super-hot singles aren't allowed to get physical at all, or money will be taken from the prize pot. Instead, they'll need to form meaningful connections and resist their temptations. 

Rosie Molloy Gives Up Everything

Wednesday

Sky Showcase, 10pm

Sheridan Smith stars in this new comedy drama as Rosie Molloy, a woman who is driven to change her life and give up her addictions after a particularly mortifying incident at her brother Joey's wedding. Alcohol, cigarettes, Xanax, Terry's Chocolate Oranges... everything is off the table as Rosie seeks a healthier path in life. 

I Am Ruth

Thursday

Channel 4, 9pm

Kate Winslet and her daughter Mia Threapleton star in this drama looking at the destructive impact of social media on the mental health of young people. Co-written by Dominic Savage and Winslet, the Mare of Easttown star plays Ruth, a mother who is becoming increasingly concerned for her teenage daughter Freya (Threapleton), as she retreats into herself and becomes more and more consumed by the pressures of social media.
