Sky has released a first look trailer for the new seven-part detective drama series Mare of Easttown.
Academy Award winner Kate Winslet stars as small-town detective Mare Sheehan, who is handed a local murder to solve while trying to hold her life together.
Julianne Nicholson also stars as Mare’s childhood best friend Lori Ross, and Evan Peters as Detective Colin Zabel, called in to assist Mare in her investigation.
Meanwhile Mare’s mother and daughter, played by Jean Smart and Angourie Rice, only serve to complicate her matters.
Winslet also executive produces the series alongside creator Brad Ingelsby (The Way Back). Craig Zobel (The Leftovers) directs all seven episodes.
Mare of Easttown will air weekly from Monday 19 April on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV.
