Vice Media and Sky have announced a new partnership to create Viceland.

The channel will launch in September and will be developed entirely in-house by the Vice creative team.

Viceland launched in the US and Canada to great acclaim in February 2016, offering hours of original content and attracting big names, including Gaycation with Ellen Page and Ian Daniel, Huang’s World with Eddie Huang, F*ck, That’s Delicious with Action Bronson, and Balls Deep with Thomas Morton.

Vice CEO and co-founder Shane Smith, said “this is the biggest move in our long love affair with our British and Irish audience. Viceland is going to give them a whole new way to experience VICE content.”

Viceland will be led by Oscar-winning director Spike Jonze and will focus on creating original content for your viewers, including a range of UK-produced programming for UK and Irish audiences.

The 24-hour channel will be available for all Sky TV customers as a part of their basic subscription package to watch live, on demand or on the go.

Additionally, the first episode of selected Viceland series will be offered to Sky and Now TV customers on demand 24 hours ahead of the first live airing.
