Documentary maker and presenter Stacey Dooley will spend 72 hours with families from varying backgrounds and situations, as part of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over for UKTV channel W.
Spending time with families of all shapes and sizes, from the unconventional to the morally ambiguous, Dooley hopes to present a cross section of modern society in Britain. The series will delve beneath the preconceived notions of families and relationships to show what life in modern Britain is actually like, from the point of view of little discussed family set-ups.
Dooley has been an award-winning journalist for over a decade and has been awarded and MBE for her services to broadcasting. Her programme Stacey Dooley: Face to Face with Isis has received two nominations for the Grierson Awards. It was announced earlier this week that Dooley is among the celebrities taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
The series is produced by Firecracker Films and joins a growing list of UKTV Original shows which have been commissioned for W, including the Sex, Knives & Liposuction with Cherry Healey and Emma Willis: Delivering Babies.
