Topical satire Re-Dub! has been commissioned by Sky. Alistair McGowan (Big Impression) and a team of established impressionists will give an alternative take on the most talked about stories of the moment.

The impressionists will re-voice a variety of the latest clips from the realms of sport, news, politics and entertainment. The show will quite literally be putting words in the mouths of a host of famous faces.

"Re-Dub! is a gloriously silly and funny take on the world of news and celebrity from the mouth of Alistair McGowan and a host of brilliant mimics accompanying real world footage. We can promise a fun-packed half hour of pure joy,” said Phil Edgar-Jones, Sky’s Head of Entertainment.

He added, “When the Avalon team showed us their initial piloted pitch for Re-Dub! I couldn’t finish my crisps as we were laughing till we cried.

From Avalon, Executive Producer Richard Allen-Turner said, “We are delighted to be working with Sky on Re-Dub!, a new comedy show that along with Russian Twitterbots, helps further conflate fake news and real reports for viewers’ entertainment.”

Avalon, producers of Taskmaster, The Russell Howard Hour and Catastrophe will produce the new ten-part Sky Original Production, which is expected to hit our screens later this year.
