Timewasters' Samson Kayo and Theo Barklem-Biggs (Kingsman: The Secret Service) are set to lead new comedy Sliced about the ventures of two pizza delivery drivers in South London.
Sliced follows Joshua (Kayo) and Ricky (Barklem-Biggs), two friends that just want to make some money, move out of their parents' homes and meet women. However, the ridiculous situations they encounter get in the way of them achieving their goals.
The three-part series is also written by Kayo alongside Phil Bowker (PhoneShop) and produced by Lovely Electricity, and will air next year on Dave.
"Announcing a new scripted comedy series for Dave is always exciting and this is no exception," said UKTV's head of scripted Pete Thornton. "Samson Kayo is without doubt destined to be a huge star and Sliced is his passion project.”
Bowker added: “Samson is a rare talent and the fact that we’ve got the opportunity to work together with Dave to realise this series is not only brilliant but sends out a really strong message to the comedy world that UKTV is the place to be for the freshest, newest and finest comedy around.”
Dave also has had recent success with its award-winning series Taskmaster, which recorded all-time high viewing figures for its seventh series.
Taskmaster was originally created by Alex Horne as a live show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2010 and began airing on Dave in 2015.
The series finale airs next week on 7th November and features Greg Davies, James Acaster and Rhod Gilbert.
