Former Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson will explore Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in a new documentary for E4.
According to Channel 4, although Thompson is known for his high-energy persona, he is also known by those close to him for his impulsiveness and forgetfulness.
For years, his family, friends and girlfriend Zara McDermott have suspected he has ADHD.
The hour-long Sam Thompson: Is This ADHD? will follow Thompson as he finally gets tested, and finds out what a diagnosis might mean.
Thompson will consult doctors, professionals and those diagnosed with the condition to find out how it presents in different people and how it affects relationships like his and McDermott's.
He'll also look at how the medication works, as he is concerned that it could hamper the creativity he has built his career on.
Thompson said: “As someone who has worked in television for nearly a decade, I’ve shared some of my most personal moments with the world. But nothing has come close to this.
"This documentary is the most vulnerable I’ve felt in front of the camera, as I wanted to be totally open about how I react to people in situations, and whether these could be linked to ADHD.
"It has been an incredible, and at times, scary experience, but by exploring what’s been going on inside my head, I hope people can see that we should be more understanding before judging others. I also want to encourage people to learn more about themselves, and be proud of everything that makes them unique.”
Sam Thompson: Is This ADHD? will air on E4 soon.
