Channel 4 has announced the famous faces taking part in The Great Celebrity British Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.

Twenty celebrities from the worlds of film, music, sport and entertainment will be donning their pinnies to make their best baked creations across five special episodes.

Matt Lucas will be on hand to support the celebs through the various challenges set by judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.

The celebrities rolling up their sleeves and doing their bit to raise awareness for Stand Up To Cancer are:

James McAvoy

The world-famous Scottish actor is known for his chilling role in psychological thriller Split and for his portrayal of the telepathic genius Professor X in X-Men. Will he be psyched out by the baking challenge or will it be a question of mind over batter?

Dame Kelly Holmes

The double Olympic gold medallist Dame Kelly Holmes has winning in her blood and will be hoping to take a running leap over the tent’s technical hurdles.

John Bishop

The scouse stand-up comedian John Bishop might have to charm the judges with his panache over his ganache.

Daisy Ridley

Known most famously for her role as the lightsaber wielding Rey in Star Wars, Daisy Ridley will be hoping the force awakens her bakin’ to bag her the Star Baker apron.

Stacey Dooley

Stacey Dooley became a household name through her hard-hitting documentaries Stacey Dooley Investigates. She’s no stranger to a celebrity competition, having won Strictly back in 2018. Will her pastry impress as much as her Paso Doble?

Canadian comedian Katherine Ryan is a pillar of panel shows, including 8 Out of 10 Cats, Mock the Week, A League of Their Own and QI. She’ll be sure to bring some laughs to the tent, although hopefully it won’t be because of her baking skills.

Ade Adepitan

The TV presenter and wheelchair basketballer Ade Adepitan won bronze at the 2004 Paralympics, but when it comes to Bake Off he’ll be going for gold with a slam-dunk showstopper.

Phillipa Perry
