Martin Compston (Line of Duty) will be guest starring in series two of Red Eye, which is due to start filming imminently, ITV has announced.
Jing Lusi (Crazy Rich Asians) will return as DS Hana Li, along with Lesley Sharp (Fate: The Winx Saga) as MI5 chief Madeline Delaney and Jemma Moore (Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators) as journalist Jess Li.
The first series of the thriller centred around Dr Matthew Nolan (Richard Armitage, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey) as he is flown to China on an extradition order, on suspicion of murder.
“I'm incredibly excited to return to the world of Red Eye, and thrilled to be sharing this rollercoaster with the brilliant Martin Compston,” said Jing Lusi.
“I’m delighted to be joining the Red Eye team,” said Martin Compston. “Hoping to build on the massive success of the first series and give viewers another thrilling ride.”
The six-part series is being produced by Bad Wolf, and written by Red Eye creator Peter A Dowling, with Jingan Young also returning to write one episode.
