BBC Two has announced a stellar cast of guest stars that will be joining Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton for the fifth series of Inside No.9.
The anthology series continues from the live Halloween special that aired back in 2018, and will showcase six new original stories written by Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton.
Alongside Shearsmith and Pemberton will be a new line-up of guest stars including Maxine Peake (Three Girls), Jenna Coleman (Victoria), David Morrissey (The Missing), Dipo Ola (Baghdad Central), Phil Davis (Whitechapel), Ralf Little (The Royle Family), Jill Halfpenny (In The Club), Steve Speirs (Upstart Crow), Tom Goodman-Hill (Humans), Fionn Whitehead (Black Mirror: Bandersnatch), Kadiff Kirwan (Timewasters), Debbie Rush (Coronation Street) and Ioanna Kimbook (Bitter Wheat).
“We’re delighted to announce a guest cast brimming with both emerging and established talent,” said Shearsmith and Pemberton.
“All judiciously chosen to make us look a bit classier by association.”
Shane Allen, Controller at BBC Comedy Commissioning added: “Reece and Steve consistently dazzle and delight with what is undoubtedly the most inventively prolific storytelling series on television.”
“Their ability to subvert and surprise makes each show a unique experience for the viewers.
“It’s the antidote to a world of familiar cosy TV formats.”
Filming is underway for the RTS award-winning series and is expected to air in 2019.
