Actor and presenter Griff Rhys Jones is following the success of A Great Welsh Adventure with Griff’s Great Britain, produced by Modern Television for ITV.

The eight part series will see Rhys Jones explore Britain’s landscape, from downs and wolds to coasts and highlands, unearthing quirky facts along the way.

Each week, he will encounter a new, and often bizarre, challenge, from finding a golden eagle to hunting a vampire.

On his journey, Rhys Jones will discover how Britain’s diverse landscape has dictated the way people have lived, worked and played on the land throughout the centuries.

The series was commissioned for ITV by Jo Clinton Davies, Controller of Factual and Richard Klein, Director of Factual.

Clinton Davies said Rhys Jones’s delight to take viewers on an adventure “makes for a series that delivers rich and engaging information in the most entertaining and accessible way.”

The series will air on ITV early next year.
