A new series of Cooking With The Stars, in partnership with Marks & Spencer, has been announced.

Hosted by Emma Willis and Tom Allen, the cooking competition sees eight celebrities paired with a professional chef who will mentor them so they can go from passionate home cooks to creating food of fine dining standard.

The eight celebrities taking part are professional dancer and TV personality Anton Du Beke, Olympian Dame Kelly Holmes, This Morning’s Josie Gibson, Chaser Anne Hegerty, Love Island’s Maura Higgins, TV expert Dr Ranj Singh, comedian Joe Wilkinson and DJ Woody Cook.

The remaining professionals will judge the dishes produced through a series of cooking battles. Each week, the bottom two cooks will need to put their skills to the test while under pressure, creating a dish without the help of their mentor.

In a blind taste test, the professional chefs decide who gets to cook for another day and who will go home. With no idea whose food they’re tasting, the chefs could end up sending their own protégé home.

The professional chefs taking part this year are TV presenter Rosemary Shrager, who is partnered with Anton Du Beke, business owner Ronnie Murray, who is partnered with Dame Kelly Holmes, chief director Jack Stein, who is partnered with Maura Higgins, and Korean restaurateur Judy Joo, who is partnered with Joe Wilkinson.

Michelin starred French chef Jean Christophe Novelli, who is partnered with Anne Hegerty, Scottish restaurateur Tony Singh MBE, who is partnered with Josie Gibson, author and This Morning regular Clodagh McKenna, who is partnered with Dr Ranj Singh, and restaurateur and TV personality Mike Reid, who is partnered with Woody Cook, will also be taking part.

Emma Willis commented: “Tom and I had so much fun last series and I’m looking forward to getting back into the kitchen. The pressure the celebs are under is real and once the competition starts heating up everybody wants to win, but I’m hoping there isn’t as much blood as last series!”

Tom Allen added: “Last series was so exciting! Emma Willis and I have been polishing our frying pans in preparation – we have so much fun working together. The celebrities are being trained by some of the best chefs in the business and with the clock ticking it’s always tense to see if they’ll improve their cooking enough each week to measure up to the judges’ high standards.”

Cooking With The Stars season two air date will be announced at a later date.
