The observational documentary Peckham’s Finest has been announced for ITV2 and ITV Hub.
Created from the makers of The Masked Singer, the series will follow a group of young, aspirational people living their everyday life in the diverse and eclectic part of South London.
Viewers will get to see the group in all areas of their life, from embarking on new romances, to dealing with doomed relationships, forming new friendships, setting out on new ventures and working through everyday dramas.
These young people are trying to find their path in the world and make their dreams come true. To add a fresh approach to the show, filming will be combined with content from the cast's own social media.
The cast include a BMC coach, radio DJ, fashion boutique owner, dance teacher and choreographer, body positive coach and influencer, drag performer barista, street foods chefs, DJ and promoter and a salon owner.
Commissioning editor for ITV2, Peter Tierney, commented: “This is a project we are all hugely excited to be making. With a truly authentic, unique and diverse cast, the series will reflect life in Peckham in a way that our viewers can engage with and relate to.
“It promises stories full of warmth, humour and drama, told in a really contemporary way.”
Peckham’s Finest will air on ITV2 weekly and will be available to watch on ITV Hub.
