Channel 4 has announced that Danny Dyer and Scary Spice are lining up for the 2024 edition of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.
The annual special of The Great British Bake Off will once again see Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith put 20 famous faces through their paces. Usual hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding will also return to present the proceedings — and pester the contestants.
The celebrities will enter the tent in groups. First up is actor Jodie Whittaker (Time) with singer Paloma Faith, satirist Munya Chawawa and broadcaster Spencer Matthews.
Joining actor and cockney icon Danny Dyer in group two is comedian Rhod Gilbert, presenter Yinka Bokinni and comedian Leigh Francis.
TV presenter Gabby Logan will bake against another presenter, Oti Mabuse, as well as comedians David O'Doherty and Suzi Ruffell.
Hammond's This Morning co-presenter Dermot O'Leary will be showing off his skills with Radio 1's Greg James, comedian Fern Brady and Spice Girl Mel B OBE.
Lastly, broadcaster and writer The Reverend Richard Coles will come up against actor Joe Locke (Heartstopper), broadcaster Sara Cox and comedian and presenter of The Last Leg, Adam Hills.
Each of the five new episodes will see the celebrities face the standard signature, technical and showstopper challenges over two days, in a bid to be crowned Star Baker at the end of their episode.
Hammond, who appeared on this version of the show before joining the main Bake Off programme as host alongside Fielding, said: "I’m totally in awe of this year’s celebrity bakers, all putting their baking skills, or in some cases lack of, under nationwide scrutiny to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer.
"And as someone who proved to be something of a baking genius [sic] when I baked in the tent a few years ago, I was delighted to be able to show them the ropes and where the oven doors were."
The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer will air on Channel 4 in Spring 2024.
