BBC One has announced its night of programming for this year’s New Year’s Eve, including a special edition of The Graham Norton Show and a performance from Alicia Keys.
The night begins at 9pm with The Big New Year’s In hosted by Paddy McGuinness.
Celebrity guests will join McGuinness in a live show of music, games, surprises and a hilarious quiz of the year.
Graham Norton will then continue the countdown with his traditional end of year talk show, joined by Emily Blunt, Jamie Dornan, Tom Hanks, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, Jessica Chastain, Nish Kumar, and with music from Sophie Ellis Bextor.
Following Norton, Alicia Keys takes to the stage to perform a set of songs in Alicia Keys Rocks New Year’s Eve, singing up to and after the Midnight Countdown.
There will be no firework display this year but as Big Ben chimes, viewers will be treated to a “very special midnight moment” in Happy New Year Live!.
Kate Phillips, Acting Controller of BBC One, said: “BBC One will be hosting an extremely entertaining New Year’s Eve night in, one that the whole nation is invited to.”
The Big New Year’s In starts at 9pm on BBC One, followed by The Graham Norton Show at 10pm.
