Two of Britain’s favourite foodies, Ainsley Harriott and Grace Dent, will travel to some of the Isles’ best seaside holiday destinations for a new Channel 4 series.
In each of the five parts of Best of British By the Sea, Harriott and Dent will visit a different destination to discover its tastiest dishes, from local delicacies and cheap eats to high-end dining.
The duo will stay in both a self-catered property where they will cook for each other using their favourite produce, and a hotel to soak up the ambience with the owners and chefs. From their accommodations they will venture out to the local attractions and hidden foodie hotspots.
On the itinerary are South Devon, the Isle of Wight, Carmarthenshire, Aberdeenshire and Norwich and Great Yarmouth.
The series is made in partnership with the UK’s leading self-catering accommodation specialist, Hoseasons (part of the Awaze Group).
Paul Evans, Vice President of Portfolio at Awaze, said: “We are delighted to be working with Grace, Ainsley, Blink Films and Channel 4 on what we know is going to be a really feel-good series.
“The staycation has never been more popular and it’s great to be doing our bit to help showcase some of the amazing places that are out there to be discovered and experienced along our fantastic shores.”
