William is an award-winning scriptwriter and filmmaker. He is also series producer for See Hear, the BBC’s flagship programme for the deaf community, now on its 37th series. William has spearheaded initiatives to give the talents and topical issues of deaf people and sign language wider exposure through creative collaborations with Doctor Who and Newsnight. In 2016, he is leading a second annual See Hear Weekend at the Watershed, an event that celebrates the history of sign language on screen, show cases international portrayal of deaf people on film and hosts creative workshops for adults and deaf children.
