Tim began his television career in 1990 when he divided his time between producing BBC Two’s Food and Drink programme in the UK for Bazal and working on current affairs programmes such as Newsnight and BBC Westminster.
Tim became Creative Director of Endemol UK in 2002 and stepped up to become Endemol’s Chief Executive Officer in January 2005.
Under his tenure Endemol’s UK business grew to become one of the largest independent producers in the country with a strong, diversified output - from Big Brother , Deal or No Deal , 8 Out of 10 Cats and Pointless in non-scripted, to Black Mirror , Fortitude and Peaky Blinders in scripted.
Tim became President of Endemol Group in 2011 and in 2014 became President of Endemol Shine Group, overseeing global creativity and strategy across 40 countries and over 80 companies. In April 2016, Tim decided to step down from the company after 17 years to found a new independent content producer.
Tim is Co-CEO of Expectation, a multi-genre independent production company creating scripted and unscripted programming across comedy, drama, factual entertainment, entertainment, reality and factual. Tim founded Expectation in November 2016 with Co-CEO, Peter Fincham.
Tim was Executive Chair of the Edinburgh International TV Festival from 2007-2010 and sits on its Executive Board. He is also on the corporate advisory board of the National Theatre.
