Thomas Popay is a Development Producer at Chalkboard TV - he specialises in developing Entertainment and Fact-Entertainment formats for UK broadcasters, VOD's, online platforms and the international market.
Thomas started his career at the BBC in Salford on Rip Off Britain and Marrying Mum And Dad before getting a place on Northern Ireland Screen's Aim High trainee scheme in Belfast. Whilst there he worked on a number of different shows such as 4Thought, Game Of Thrones and The Fall amounts others - eventually starting work in development for Stellify Media (Sony Pictures Entertainment) where he helped develop shows such as Can't Touch This (BBC1) In Solitary (Channel 5) and Beauty Queen And Single (BBC NI) before moving on to ITV Studios and eventually Chalkboard TV.
Before moving to London, Thomas was also part of RTS Northern Ireland where he helped organise the RTS Awards among other sessions and was on the committee for the Belfast Media Festival.
