As Managing Director, Content at Sky, Turner Laing was instrumental in forging Sky’s ground-breaking partnership with HBO (creating Sky Atlantic) and was the driving force behind Sky’s commitment to increase investment in original British programming to £600m a year.
Sophie Turner Laing has been honoured with a RTS Fellowship for outstanding contribution to British television, the inaugural MIPTV Médaille d'Honneur and the Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Award in recognition of “extraordinary passion, leadership, independence and vision in the process of creating television programming".
