Rupert Ellwood has been Partner and Head of Marketing at Waitrose since 2013, having joined the company in 2010.
He was Chief Executive Officer at Vinopolis from 2007 to 2010, joining from The Natural History Museum where he was Head of Events and Catering. He began his career as Deputy Head of Catering at the House of Lords.
Rupert is committed and bold in advocating fresh ways of thinking through his breadth of experience across Commercial, General Management, PLC leadership and Marketing. At Waitrose, Rupert has innovated print, digital and video to achieve revenue growth of 175% in last 3 years and has developed a strategy for social opening up new channels on Facebook, YouTube and achieving global Instagram ranking.
