Reem is an award winning Executive Producer with experience in producing factual and formats for TV, as well as digital content and live events.
She learned her craft at the BBC, starting in World Service Radio, then moving to TV and specialising in content for children. A core member of the channel launch team, she saw the birth of the CBBC and CBeebies children’s channels, and later ran the News & Factual division for BBC Children’s. As Head of News and Factual, she was charged with reshaping children’s factual for the digital market and responsible for flagship CBBC brands, Newsround and Blue Peter.
Other TV credits include talent-led formats Beckham’s Hotshots and Steve Backshall’s Deadly 60, adventure series Serious Arctic, Amazon, Andes and Ocean, and primetime hits Little Angels and The Apprentice. In the international arena, Reem has developed and produced series for channels in the US, Australia and Middle East.
In addition to freelance production she offers consultancy services in creative development and brokering partnership.
