Priya Dogra is responsible for operating Warner Bros. Discovery’s businesses across Europe, Middle East and Africa (ex. Poland).
She oversees the commercial and content operations, including distribution via Direct-to-Consumer, theatrical exhibition, home entertainment and TV network licensing, as well as programming and local production.
Warner Bros. Discovery’s iconic brands include: HBO and HBO Max, Warner Bros., DC, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, CNN, Discovery Channel, discovery+, Eurosport, HGTV, Food Network, OWN, , TLC, Magnolia Network, TNT, TBS, truTV, Travel Channel, MotorTrend, Animal Planet, Science Channel, and others.
A former investment banker, Dogra joined Time Warner in 2009 becoming then Head of Mergers & Acquisitions in 2015. During her tenure, she was responsible for all investment activities and deals for the company including defending a hostile bid from 21st Century Fox in 2014, leading the sale of Time Warner to AT&T in 2018 and overseeing the company’s investment in Hulu in 2016. She also led the company’s investments in CME, the leading broadcaster in Central & Eastern Europe and the acquisition of premium soccer rights in Chile and Argentina.
Dogra subsequently served as Head of Strategy and Corporate Development, advising two successive CEOs (John Stankey and Jason Kilar) and leading the development of WarnerMedia’s long-term strategy, managing key initiatives across the company to drive growth with a focus on the company’s international footprint.
In 2020, she relocated to London to take on the role of President, WarnerMedia EMEA & Asia (excl. China) where she was responsible for the programming, marketing and distribution of WarnerMedia’s linear networks, including Cartoon Network, TNT and HBO, as well as the distribution of US-produced content via theatrical exhibition, home entertainment and licensing to TV networks. She was responsible for programming and wholesale distribution for HBO Max, WarnerMedia’s streaming service.
Dogra also oversaw the company’s significant local language production across the region including anime, kids’ animation, local language films for theatrical release as well as original series production for the company’s networks and services including HBO and HBO Max.
She graduated from the University of Toronto and is a member of the University of Toronto International Leadership Council. In May 2019, Priya received the University’s Desmond Parker Outstanding Young Alumni Award and the Arbor Award in 2021 which recognises outstanding volunteer commitment to the university.
Priya is a member of BAFTA and chair of the 2022 Royal Television Society London Convention.
