Nicola Shindler OBE is a multi award-winning British television producer.
With over 25 years’ experience in television and renowned for her relationships with writers, Nicola has worked with an array of writing talent to produce some of the UK’s most successful and award-winning dramas, including It’s A Sin, Harlan Coben’s Stay Close, Ridley Road, No Return, Years and Years, Happy Valley, Queer As Folk, Traces, Last Tango in Halifax, Butterfly, Harlan Coben’s The Stranger and Finding Alice.
Most recently, under her new production banner Quay Street Productions, their first drama Nolly, written by Russell T Davies, was released on ITVX, followed by Significant Other, Men Up , After The Flood, Dead Hot and The Red King. The latest Harlan Coben drama Fool Me Once attracted over 37 million views in the first week and sits in the global top ten of all time for Netflix. In 2019, Nicola was awarded an OBE and was awarded the BAFTA Special Award for her services to British Broadcasting. In 2021, Nicola launched new production company, Quay Street Productions. Previously, Nicola founded RED Production Company in 1998, where she was Chief Executive for 20 years, and she also previously served as Chief Executive and Chief Creative Officer at StudioCanal UK.
