Julie Etchingham presents the flagship News at Ten and Tonight for ITV.

In 2015 she made history as the first woman to moderate a General Election debate - and the only debate with all 7 Party Leaders. She also co-anchored the channel's Election Night coverage - and had a leading role as anchor in the coverage of the recent 2017 Election. She interviewed in depth all five main party leaders for the Tonight programme.

Her work on the Tonight programme - Britain's most watched current affairs programme - has covered everything from domestic violence, to transgender children, to the Brexit crisis. She presented two special programmes from Paris and Brussels in the wake of major terrorist attacks - and recently did the same after the Manchester Terror Attack and the Grenfell Tower disaster. For the 2017 Snap General Election, she interviewed all five party leaders.

She has reported for the current affairs strand Exposure, and recently fronted a documentary on the Jill Dando murder.

Julie previously worked for Sky News and the BBC. She joined the BBC in 1992 as a news trainee where she subsequently worked as a reporter and presenter. She has written for the Sunday Times, New Statesman, The Guardian and The Telegraph and the Sunday Telegraph.
