Co-Founder and CCO, SISTER

Jane founded Sister Pictures in November 2015, and in 2019 became a co-founder of SISTER, an independent global entertainment group.

Led by CCO Jane Featherstone, CEO Cindy Holland and Executive Chair Elisabeth Murdoch, SISTER develops, produces, and invests in visionary storytellers. 

Renowned for her phenomenal breadth of output, Jane has Executive Produced recently-released Eric and forthcoming projects Kaos and Black Doves, all for Netflix. Previous projects include multi-Emmy and Bafta Award-winning Chernobyl, Passenger, The Split, The Power, This is Going to Hurt, Giri/Haji, Landscapers and Gangs of London.

As the former chief executive of Kudos and co-chairman of Shine UK, Jane’s pioneering vision brought quality drama to the mainstream. During her tenure, Featherstone produced some of the UK’s most ground-breaking and best-loved dramas, from BAFTA-winning television series Broadchurch and Life on Mars, through to Spooks, The Hour and Utopia.

Jane received the Contribution to the Medium Award at the Women in Film and TV awards in 2007, as well as The Barclays Business Award in 2019. She was granted a Doctorate of Letters from the University of Leeds for services to the industry in 2019 and has received a Fellowship from the Royal Television Society. She is a trustee of Koko Foundation and on the Governing Board of the London Screen Academy, a free school set up to bring under-represented groups into the industry.
