George has over 25 years’ experience in the Television and Film industry.
Having spent a number of years running a camera rental company, he joined Films at 59 in 1997 and has been involved with the company’s growth in providing extensive and comprehensive post production services to local, national and international clients. He was also involved with the company's move into picture post production in 2000 when they were the first UK Post Production House to invest in High Definition facilities. As well as his primary role of identifying and developing new business opportunities, George also helps the company with technical and innovative recommendations to ensure that the business stays at the forefront of an ever changing technological market. This includes workflows for Ultra High Definition (UHD) and Digital Intermediate (DI) projects as well as data management of 4K - 6K camera rushes. He also plays a key role in the company’s presence at the biennial Wildscreen Festival where he is often involved in seminars and masterclasses.
Films at 59 work across a huge range of programme genres including documentary, factual, children's, natural history and drama. They are amongst the Top 20 UK post houses and were recently shortlisted for 'Best UK Post Production House' in the coveted Broadcast awards.
