Daisy begun her career in unscripted TV production and since then has gained extensive experience working with young people and marginalised communities across various sectors. After experiencing first-hand some of the barriers facing a young disabled person working in the TV industry, she moved into the charity sector, wishing to apply skills gained in production for social purpose. In her first year with Media Trust, Daisy managed 21 of their Volunteer Films shorts, matching small charities with seasoned directors, before moving into spearheading their screen industry mentoring programmes, supported by ScreenSkills/the BFI. For the last couple of years Daisy has been leading Media Trust’s Screen Industries and Mentoring activity, including new initiatives such as Black Britain Unspoken and Reframe the Game with Warner Bros. Discovery, and an array of disability and neurodiversity-led work, including industry-first Reframing Disability mentoring with the BBC. Daisy also sits on the Royal Television Society Futures Committee, the TV Access Project workstream and is currently consulting producer across several development and production projects with indie production companies, often led by the underrepresented talent she has worked with across the last few years.
