Joint Political Editor, The Guardian
Anushka Asthana is the joint political editor of the Guardian, where she has covered the outcome and aftermath of the Brexit vote, the rise of Jeremy Corbyn and the 2017 general election, writing articles, making short films and presenting a regular podcast.
Previously she was senior political correspondent at Sky News, and before that chief political correspondent and columnist at the Times. She spent eight years at the Observer working as education correspondent, deputy news editor and policy editor.
She also worked at the Washington post as part of the Laurence Stern fellowship.
