Aasmah Mir is a Sony Gold Award-winning broadcaster who co-presents Saturday Live on BBC Radio 4. The programme attracts well over 2 million listeners every weekend.
She also presents and reports from landmark events for BBC One, this year including the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and The Hay Festival.
Aasmah began her career as a newsreader at STV in Glasgow in 1993.
In 2001, she moved to Radio 5 Live, working across the network before moving in 2010 to present Drive with Peter Allen.
From 2013 to 2018 she reported for ITV’s Tonight programme.
She has reported on general elections for ITV in 2015 and 2017 and co-presented ITV’s overnight coverage of the Scottish independence referendum in 2014.
And in 2015, she appeared on Celebrity Mastermind on BBC1 and won.
