Centre Event

Yorkshire has a rich history of producing outstanding television content for regional, national and international audiences.

This is our heritage, a colossus, that can be found stored in all manner of formats in multiple locations. And now we have a growing, vibrant production community based in the region, producing new content daily. How important is it that both the legacy collections and new digital content are archived: that the material is protected and preserved, and made accessible for future generations? Whose responsibility is it and are the skills and training in place to make it happen?

These and many other questions will be considered by our panel of experts in regional production and archiving in this joint RTS Yorkshire and RTS Archive Group.

Joining Fiona Thompson, Chair, RTS Yorkshire Centre will be:

Sue Howard, Director, Yorkshire Film Archive

Sally Joynson, Chief Executive, Screen Yorkshire

Sue Todd, Partnerships Manager, British Film Institute

Mark Witty, Producer, ITV News

David Wormstone, Archive Manager, BBC News
