Best known as the executive producer of The Crown and co-founder of Left Bank Pictures, Harries has created some of the most iconic British television of the last three decades.
For this evening, Andy explores the creative process behind award-winning series like The Crown, Wallander, and The Queen. Through personal anecdotes from his illustrious career, Harries will share insights into working with actors and directors and the challenges of bringing real-life stories to the screen. Andy will be in conversation with Lorraine Heggessey, formerly an executive and TV producer with BBC and Thames.
At Granada Television, Harries produced notable shows like Cold Feet, The Royle Family, Prime Suspect, and Cracker.
In 2007, he co-founded Left Bank Pictures, where he produced The Crown, a historical drama series about the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, which premiered on Netflix in 2016 and became a global sensation.
Harries is known for his ability to merge commercial appeal with artistic integrity, producing content that resonates with critics and larger audiences.
Andy Harries is a Fellow of the RTS and was awarded an OBE in 2019 for his services to film and television.
