Great British Bake Off breakout star Liam Charles is back with a new show aimed at getting young people into the kitchen to try their hand at his creative recipes.

The show follows the baker as he wanders around trendy parts of London before experimenting with delicious cake recipes. He also blends nostalgia, pop culture and his Jamaican heritage into the baking show to bring a playful aspect to the series.

We Are Most Amused And Amazed

Tuesday: ITV, 8.00pm

In an evening of comedy and magic at the London Palladium, performers will come together to celebrate HRH The Prince of Wales's 70th birthday and raise funds for youth charity The Prince’s Trust.

Duo Alexander Armstrong and Ben Miller are reunited as hosts, with performances from Rowan Atkinson, Kylie Minogue and Wallace & Gromit.

Wednesday: BBC Two, 9.00PM

The kidnap saga comes to a close as J. Paul Getty Senior (Donald Sutherland) is abandoned by all those close to him, and the mystery of what the Calabrian mafia did with their ransom money is revealed.

The series has a sentimental end with fixer Chase (Brendan Fraser) breaking the fourth wall to address viewers directly as he realises that family really is important.

Inside the Foreign Office

Thursday: BBC Two, 9.00pm

A behind the scenes look at Boris Johnson’s time as Foreign Secretary, covering the Rohingya crisis and relations with Russia in the wake of the Salisbury poisoning.

The new series gives filmmaker Michael Waldman privileged access to the secretive world of British diplomats, revealing their candid thoughts on Brexit and Britain’s reputation on the world stage.

Children in Need

Friday: BBC One, 7.00PM

 

The annual entertainment extravaganza will be presented by Mel Giedroyc, Graham Norton, Tess Daly, Ade Adepitan, Marvin and Rochelle Humes and Rob Beckett.

The evening is jam-packed with moving scenes, as one young girl who is supported by the Children In Need charity visits the iconic set of Doctor Who – and meets the Doctor herself.

Holst And Vaughan-Williams: Making Music English

Saturday: BBC Two, 9.00PM

Presenter Tom Service and history professor Amanda Vickery unearth the story behind the lifelong friendship between legendary composers Ralph Vaughan-Williams and Gustav Holst.

Vaughan-Williams and Holst are often credited with creating the so-called ‘English sound’ in the first half of the 20th century. The BBC Concert Orchestra will perform excerpts of both composers’ music as the presenters unravel the story of their musical influences.

The Interrogation of Tony Martin

Sunday: Channel 4, 9.00pm

One-off factual drama starring Steve Pemberton as Tony Martin, a man who divided public opinion in 1999 when he shot dead 16-year-old burglar Fred Barras.

The drama brings to life Martin’s conviction and subsequent appeal using previously unseen transcripts detailing the night Brendan Fearon and Fred Barras broke into his Norfolk farmhouse.
