The Last Post goes back to the sixties in this army drama based on writer Peter Moffat's childhood experiences growing up in a military family.
Set in Aden, Yemen, the drama begins with the arrival of newlyweds Honor, played by Jessie Buckley (War and Peace), and her husband RMP Captain Joe Martin, played by newcomer Jeremy Neumark-Jones.
As the young couple adjust to life in the dangerous new environment, Honor begins to question whether she really knows the man she has married and becomes immersed in the closed knit army community, befriending the funny and direct Alison (Jessica Raine - Call the Midwife).
Other stars include Amanda Drew (Broadchurch), Ben Miles (The Crown) and Stephen Campbell Moore (History Boys).
