Sky One has revealed first-look images and an extended trailer for original series Jamestown, from the makers of Downtown Abbey.
Set in 1619 Virginia, Jamestown sits on what seems to be the edge of existence, only populated by men.
It's been this way for 12 years; that's until the town is shaken up when the first women, including Alice (Sophie Rundle), Verity (Niamh Walsh) and Jocelyn (Naomi Battrick), move in.
Jamestown follows the story of the new arrivals as they battle love, power and survival.
As you can imagine there is rivalry and competition among them, but they come to realise that they must all work as one to survive in their new lives.
Jamestown is written by Bill Gallagher (Lark Rise to Candleford) and starts on Friday May 5 at 9pm on Sky One.
