This week we'll be keeping you up-to-date on what's on TV in the lead up to Christmas. Today, see what Jamie Oliver is up to in the kitchen, we head over to Sky One for a Trollied Christmas special and see a fitting tribute to Sir Lenny Henry's career so far.

Christmas City 

BBC One, 9.15am (continues throughout the week)

Christmas City is a five-part series presented by Rav Wilding and Hayley Hassall that looks at what it takes to deliver a special Christmas.

They go behind the scenes to show all the organisation that goes into making sure everyone coming into Manchester has a safe and memorable Christmas, such as how the market stall holders keep up with festivities.


Jamie's Ultimate Christmas

Channel 4, 8pm

This year Jamie Oliver brings his expertise and knowledge and creates an ultimate the Christmas dinner.

The starting point is the 'three foundations of Christmas'... turkey, gravy and potatoes. Don't miss his tips on making the perfect Christmas dinner for all the family.


Would I Lie to You at Christmas?

BBC One, 8.30pm

Richard Osman, Chris Kamara, Sara Pascoe and Sir Tom Courtenay join David Mitchell and Lee Mack to tell stories about themselves... some true and some not.

Does Tom Courtenay really have Baileys on his Christmas cornflakes?


Trollied - Christmas Special

Sky 1, 9pm

One of Sky 1's most loved series goes seasonal for a festive finale to season 6.

With their relationship on track, Gavin hs an important proposal for Cheryl, but his elaborate plans backfire unexpectedly. Elsewhere Colin and Lisa witness something horrifying at the Christmas party.


Prince Harry in Africa

ITV, 9pm

This new film for ITV follows Prince Harry on his return to Lesotho in Africa to continue the work on his charity Sentebale.

The charity helps young children affected by HIV and Aids, whilst providing care, education and support.

In this documentary Prince Harry speaks about the charity and the work he does, as well as the influence of his mother.


First Dates at Christmas

Channel 4, 9pm

Fred and his team open up the First Dates restaurant one last time this year, to help 10 new singletons find love in time for Christmas.

As always, expect the unexpected. Smooth talking dental practice manager Ryan tries to sweet-talk his date Yasmin. Will they hit it off?


Lenny Henry: A Life on Screen

BBC Two, 9pm

A tribute to the actor and comedian Sir Lenny Henry who shot the fame at the age of 16.

The programme includes an in-depth interview with the man himself, as well as guests such as Chris Tarrant, Sir Trevor McDonald and Lord Michael Grade.
