As part of the build up to the British Masters, Sky Sports are promoting ‘Get in to Golf’, a nationwide campaign to get more people playing the game.

The scheme, which will be delivered locally via gold clubs and PGA professionals is aiming to bring 500 000 new or lapsed golfers into the sport by the end of 2018.

Sky Sports have also confirmed that it will be repeating its Sky Sports Thursday initiative, making all 20 000 tickets for the opening round of the British Masters played at The Grove between 13 and 16 October, available free of charge.

The scheme launches this year and will be particularly focused on the BMW PGA Championship and The Open. Additional key moments in the scheme include The 2016 Ryder Cup and finally the British Masters.

Sky Sports’ Head of Golf, Jason Wessely said that the scheme “illustrates our desire to help get more people to the range and out on the course.”

From 10am on Friday 15 April, Sky customers can take advantage of a 72 hour ‘presale’ giving them first option on the free ticket offer for round one of the British Masters. The tickets then go on general sale on Monday 18 April.
