Sky today announced the return of bold and successful crime drama Stan Lee’s Lucky Man for a sensational second series.
The return reinforces Sky’s commitment to high-quality year-round drama which has to date included hit shows like You, Me and the Apocalypse, Hooten and the Lady and Fungus the Bogeyman.
The first season of the ten ten-part drama was Sky 1’s highest-rated original drama series ever, and delivered an average cumulative audience of 1.9 million viewers while remaining the most watched Sky 1 programme week after week on NOW TV.
The show has already garnered very favourable reviews with the press and has been described as “a thrill a minute drama” by The Observer, and “thoroughly entertaining fun” by the Mail on Sunday’s EVENT magazine.
The second series will see acclaimed actor James Nesbitt return to his role as Detective Inspector Clayton as he struggles to overcome his compulsions and the never-ending battle between good and bad luck.
James Nesbitt spoke of his delight at the return of the show, adding “I’m delighted that Luck Man was so popular with viewers and I look forward to being back on Sky 1 in 2017.”
Stan Lee also added “What a thrill it is that Lucky Man’s coming back for another sensational season. It’s going to be a terrific ride with Harry and the gang, where fortune smiles on those who catch my king-sized cameo in season two.”
