Julie Etchingham is a newsreader and journalist at ITV News. She presents the channel's current affairs programme Tonight. 

She has just been nominated for a RTS Television Journalism Award for Network Presenter of the Year alongside Matt Frei and Victoria Derbyshire. Last year she was on the panel at RTS Cambridge where she discussed the General Election 2015. 

Here she suggests that it's best to change the tone of a political interview when the subject fails to answer the question directly.
