BBC Television Centre closed at the end of March this year to enable a two year programme of recovery and renovation before a phased reopening starting in 2015 as the home of a new multi-user media, business and residential community.
The first phase tackles the removal of existing facilities and technology, with a hint of history and archaeology.
Adrian Poole, the BBC's Director of IT and Technology Delivery, gives an insight into the work and its challenges, Andrew Wheeler, Decommissioning Lead, TVC Technology Programme, highlights the importance of retrieving and redistribution of kit, and Chris Kane, CEO BBC Commercial Projects, outlines the plans for the future
